Prepare the teriyaki sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Glaze with teriyaki sauce:

  1. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, pour the remaining teriyaki sauce over the chicken to glaze it. Allow it to cook for a further 2 minutes.

Garnish and Serve:

  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet or grill, and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve with steamed rice
