🛒 Ingredients

For the Bread:
1 large sourdough or French bread loaf (round or oval)
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp dried oregano
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
½ tsp salt

For Topping:
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Extra chopped herbs for garnish

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Bread

  • Slice the bread crosswise and lengthwise (1-inch grid) without cutting through the bottom (so it stays intact).

2️⃣ Make Garlic Butter

  • Mix melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, red pepper flakes, and salt.

3️⃣ Stuff the Bread

  • Gently separate the bread slices and stuff cheese between the gaps.
  • Drizzle 2/3 of the garlic butter over the bread, ensuring it seeps into the cuts.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Wrap the loaf in foil (to prevent burning) and bake at 375°F / 190°C for 15 mins.
  • Unwrap, add remaining garlic butter and Parmesan, then bake uncovered for 5–10 mins until golden and bubbly.

5️⃣ Garnish & Serve

  • Sprinkle fresh herbs and serve warm with marinara or ranch dip!
